Tourist scam to avoid: the friendship bracelet

Someone will approach you and offer a friendship bracelet: regardless of what you say, they will try to take you wrist and beging making the bracelet on you, while asking for payment. This can also be used as a distraction while they accomplice pickpockets you. Sometimes vendor could approach you aggressively asking if you’ll help him with a “demonstration”: so he makes a “friendship bracelet” right on your arm. When finished, he asks you to pay a premium for the bracelet he created, so you feel obliged to pay up.
These distractions can also function as a smokescreen for theft — an accomplice is picking your pocket as you try to wriggle away from the pushy vendor.
