Public transportations

Even if a lot of historical and artistic places are located in the same area and you can reach them by walking, Rome is very big ( it extends for about 496.3 sq mi). Through the subway though, you can reach everything very rapidly: Capital’s transportation network includes bus, tram, subway, suburban trains.

The tickets- with Metrobus written on- are valid for 75 minutes since you validate them, and you can find them in all the news kiosk, tobacco shops, vending machines and stations.

You can choose the tourist ticket that will be valid for 3 days or for one week. The most simple and easiest way to move around Rome is to take the subway that opens at 5.30 am and usually closes at 11.30 pm except in some occasion and on weekends that closes at 1.30 am .

Always remember to validate your ticket!
